Jerry MacKay to participate on Film Festival panel

MacKayJerry

If you're sick of hearing Jerry talk, don't go anywhere near Long Island on Sunday July 13th. He's been selected to sit on a panel at the Long Island International Film Expo. Titled "The Good, the Bad and the Horror Stories - The Perils of Independent Filmmaking", Jerry and other filmmakers will talk about their experiences in the crazy madcap world that is low-to-no-budget filmmaking. Jerry's first rule of independent filmmaking: don't even think about trying to make a film without a dedicated producer who's smarter than you (just like Beth).

Star Trek spoof "Pinch" to play Comic-Con

ComicConLogo
If you're a Trekkie, you know about Comic-Con. It's the largest pop-culture event in the world; a Star Trek Mecca of sorts (technically a "Trekka"). So what better event for Littleflick's Star Trek spoof "Pinch" to make its film festival debut! That's right - "Pinch" is an official selection of the 2008 Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival.
And it's not the only Littleflick playing Comic-Con! Our short children's film "Hold The Onions" is an official selection of the 2008 San Diego International Children's Film Festival, taking place at Comic-Con. If you're in San Diego and into Littleflick, Comic-Con is gonna be the place to be!

LongIslandFF
We just got word that our short film "On Productivity" is an official selection of the 2008 Long Island International Film Expo! Littleflick does the Shredd & Ragan show!

ShreddAndRagan
We got a chance to talk on-the-air with Shredd & Ragan and the guys over at 103.3 The Edge. We gotta get them in one of our films (and believe me, we got some ideas). Take a listen to the interview.

Funny delivery

FunnyDelivery
This past week,we Littleflickers made Funny deliveries to the media. Literally. We searched the marshlands of Ecuador and captured a number of "Funnys", little critters that make people laugh when they're not ripping them to shreds with their sarcastic wit and sharp fangs. The Funnys were boxed up and sent out to tv staions, radio stations and news outlets, in an effort to drum up support for our feature film "Release The Funny". Hopefully our efforts will pay off with some news coverage (provided the Funnys don't eat the people we sent them to.)

Hold The Onions nominated for Best Children's Film at Foursite Film Festival

Foursite2008
Hold The Onions strikes again! We're proud to announce that our short film about restaurant mayhem was nominated for Best Children's Film at the Foursite Film Festival in Utah. The winner was the short animated film Bye Bye, which we had the pleasure of seeing at the San Francisco International Children's Film Festival (and was very funny). But we're just excited to be nominated!
Congratulations to everyone who worked on the film, and especially to our star Bella Buscarino. Way to be funny!

Caring for your Funny

FunnyCharacter
This Friday, a number of Funnys are being delivered to our good friends in the media. The Funny is a wonderful creature that will bring you years of laughs and enjoyment. But a Funny isn't just fun and games...it's a crafty character that can be quite sinister at times. Many owners of Funnys have been forced to seek psychiatric treatment because they didn't take the proper precautions. Before you receive your Funny, there are a few tips you should know... Canisius screening featured on Buffalo.com

CanisiusScreeningPanel
Littleflick's recent screening of Release The Funny at Canisius College is featured on the Buffalo.com WeSpotted site. You can visit the gallery at this link.
Very special thanks to Ben Kirst from WeSpotted for covering our event. And we even made the Buffalo.com front page. They show photos from various events, and our event came first! We even came before Flogging Molly!!! Not that we're better than Flogging Molly. You can't really compare the two. They're a band, and we're filmmakers. It's like saying apple pie is better than mud wrestling (which it isn't).
